Our Vallejo Community
The City of Vallejo is a wonderfully diverse small-town community with a beautiful waterfront and an historic downtown core. We are located midway between San francisco and Sacramento.
In and around downtown Vallejo, you will find the City's Arts and Heritage Districts that offer numerous galleries, shops and restaurants and our year-round farmers market every Saturday 9:00am to 1:00pm. You can take advantage of the Vallejo Baylink Ferry Service to get to and from San Francisco with high-speed catamarans that whisk you across the Bay in under an hour to Fisherman's Wharf/Pier 39 or the San Francisco Ferry Building. During baseball season, they offer special ferries that service the AT&T Ballpark, home of the famous Giants baseball team.
Vallejo is host to three of its own colleges - Touro University, the California Maritime Academy and Solano Community College. We are home to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom theme park and 38 public parks and facilities. Our golfing is second to none with Hiddenbrooke Golf Club, Mare Island Golf Course and Blue Rock Springs. We are also home to the Solano County Fair and the Solano county Fair Grounds where there is always something going on year-round.
Our waterfront is where you can enjoy annual festivals and events like the Vallejo/San Francisco International Yacht Race, Pista Sa Nayon Filipino Cultural Festival, Northern California Pirate Festival, Juneteenth Celebration, Forth of July Ducky Derby & Fireworks after you attend our Fourth of July Parade and the annual car show a the waterfront Rods and Customs on the Bay, just to name a few.
